Motorola RIZR Z6 first on the bottom line - it’s a quad GSM EDGE slider phone with the data, the ROKR Z6 also has a 2 megapixel camera, 2 “240×320 pixels 262000 colors, a reader multimedia (including support for MP3, AAC, AMR, WAV and Windows Media formats), microSD expandable memory (expandable to 2 GB, and 64Mb on board) and Bluetooth. So what we have here is a Linux smartphone with very strong multimedia capabilities shoehorned in the same form factor as the old RIZR, which is a shame because the Z6 is basically completely new underneath.

In terms of technical specifications and features, the Motorola ROKR Z6 promises to be a very impressive unit. Unfortunately, the consumer interest in these devices RAZR style is drying quickly enough and for that reason alone, the ROKR Z6 might not have much impact.

Motorola ROKR say that the Z6 will be available from May 2007 in China in June 2007 and in the rest of the world.
