Motorola ROKR E8 Speed-Sensitive FastScroll Navigation

Posted on January 9, 2008 in Motorola

Motorola ROKR E8Some phones are struggling to find a unique selling proposition something that distinguishes it on the market for everything else. The Motorola ROKR E8 is not one of these phones because the Motorola ROKR E8comes with an elegant keyboard dynamics change depending on the type of function you are using.

If you are using it as a phone, then the ROKR E8 shows a conventional numeric keypad - if you use the camera, it shows camera controls, and for the Reading multimedia ROKR E8 musical keys. Motorola calls the technology ModeShift and in the case of the Motorola ROKR E8 is combined with a speed-sensitive FastScroll navigation wheel, which makes it easier for users to scroll through media or menu options.

Motorola ROKR E8 The virtual keyboard is improved through technology haptic Motorola - pressing actually result in some physical reaction, even if they are completely flat and motionless. When it was extinguished, the ROKR E8 keyboard is completely blank. Motorola

not saying exactly how E8 ROKR ModeShift keyboard works - looking at the positioning of virtual keys, it seems to be a logical extension of the fixed controls hidden that we saw for the first time on the LG Chocolate, each button in a unique position. This makes more sense than the beloved Optimus Maximus approach where everything is an individual active screen.

Past the ingenious keyboard, and Motorola ROKR E8 is proving to be an attractive multimedia capable phone. It can play MP3, MIDI, AAC, WMA, WAV, AMR and RealAudio music formats, comes with 2 gigabytes of internal memory (expandable to 4 GB with a microSD card), and it has a landscape format ( large) 2 “320 x 240 pixels screen video playback. The ROKR E8 can also be used with a variety of headsets wired and wireless speakers. There is also an FM radio.

Somewhat disappointingly, there is no support for SD high capacity memory cards, the camera is a 2 megapixel autofocus with or without flash and the ROKR E8 lack 3G or WiFi. Of all these defects, memory is probably the most important - 2 GB or 4 GB is lower than even the Apple iPod Nano.
