Motorola W220 VGA Resolution Camera
Originally announced in February, Motorola have chosen to announce the upcoming Motorola W220 again this month Communicasia event in Singapore.

The Motorola RAZR W220 is a clamshell-type phone with a display of 128×128 pixels CSTN 65000 colors, which weighs 93 grams. It has a long battery life giving up to 8 hours duration and 12 days of standby, and there is a built-in FM radio. Well that’s about it. No camera, no Bluetooth, no MP3 player. It’s only a dual-band GSM device, but it has at least GPRS and WAP browser.
The shocking thing is that Motorola made significant product announcements for the GSM/3G market since January 2006, when they announced the ROKR E2, a handset so late in the market that people are beginning to speculate that it might never happen. Apart from a wave of ultra-cheap phones and variations in the color of existing aircraft, the W220 was the largest since the announcement of E2 product Motorola.
only other recent product releases are V3i and the A1200 smartphone (which is on sale in the Far East only). At Communicasia, Motorola also announced the W375 which is basically a W220 with a VGA resolution camera. So it is perhaps the closest thing to a new Motorola you will see in the near future, scheduled for release Q3 2006.
