Posted on December 11, 2007 in Nokia

First, the Nokia 330 comes with Route 66 navigation satellite system, and it offers pan-European mapping (but not all countries have 100% coverage). The cards are preloaded on a 2GB memory card, which can also be used to store other data. The browser has the usual combination of visual and spoken directions, 2D/3D views, and it comes with a touch 3.5 inch display. The GPS receiver is a SiRF III GSC3 unit.

The Nokia 330 is a satellite navigation system (Nokia called Auto Navigation ), who bears a passing resemblance to the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. Like the 770, the Nokia 330 is not a phone… But the really surprising thing is deep underneath.

So really, it seems that the Nokia 330 is a me-too SatNav system based on off-the-shelf components, though this is a beautiful, and around € 360 / £ 230 before taxes, Nokia 330 seems to offer good quality report. Nokia say that the 330 will be available in some outlets from Q4 2006 Espérons-le.

A nice feature with the Nokia 330 is that it can play multimedia content such as videos and MP3 music files. It also comes with Bluetooth, presumably so that traffic updates and other value-added features can be accessed. Overall, the Nokia 330 is fairly thin satellite navigation system to 81 X 109 mm x 30 mm and 205 grams in weight. The sales package includes the gooseneck mounting kit, a memory card, the phone holder and USB cable.
