Nokia 6080 Cheap Essentially Basic Phone

Posted on December 23, 2007 in Nokia

Nokia has produced some interesting and innovative phones lately, but the Nokia 6080 is not one of them. Based on the incredibly dull Nokia 6070, Nokia 6080 has a cheap CSTN display 128×160 pixel VGA resolution and a camera, FM radio and that’s about it. The Nokia 6080 is not even Bluetooth. Internal memory is a meager 4.3Mb, and it can not be expanded. Fortunately, there is no MP3 player and the camera resolution is so low that it should not require more storage space.

Nokia 6080

Nokia argument here is that the 6080 is elegant allure, and it is very tempting. It is clear that there is a bit of inspiration from aircraft such as the LG Chocolate, but the problem is that the LG (and rival Samsung E900) completely erase the Nokia in terms of specification. The Nokia 6080 is good looks in any way to offset its technical shortcomings. In terms of specification, the Nokia 6080 is more like a relic of the past rather than a modern aircraft from 2006.

We would like to say that the Nokia 6080 is cheap, but we believe that Nokia offers cost of € 180 before taxes and subsidies is too much for what is essentially a very basic phone. 6080 would be the most appropriate in the Nokia 2000 series to negotiate arrangements ground, rather than the system of “6000 series” phones.

Still, it could be worse at least 6080 is a rather attractive, and it is relatively light at 91 grams. And if you care more about looks than functionality, the Nokia 6080 but may be worth considering. Say that the Nokia 6080 is expected to be available from the 4th quarter of 2006. Although why it is so long waiting for a warmed about Nokia 6070 is anyone’s guess.
