We start with the good points if - it is relatively lightweight 3G phone, which weighs 98 grams and it will be very inexpensive, costing around € 240 / £ 160. It’s been a long time that we have seen a real bad Nokia phone, the Nokia 6151, but seems to be a very poorly thought device.

However, the Nokia 6151 has been paralyzed by a display 128×160 pixels which is far too basic for a modern phone (although it is at least a TFT screen). This will make it difficult to use the 6151 for web browsing, reading e-mails or otherwise manipulate images - indeed, the rest of the features of 6151 will be seriously hampered by the low screen resolution. In fact, one can think of no other current 3G phone which display with a resolution of this low.

It’ has not video calling, but it does come with a 1.3 mega pixel camera. There is also an MP3 player, email client, web browser, Bluetooth, FM radio, support for EDGE and microSD expandable memory.

Nokia 6151 is hard to see what the point of this phone. This is not a business phone because of poor display, and many companies do not need ‘camera. This is not a hobby phone because it is not the video call, it is incredibly boring to watch. And there is the question of the poor quality display.

In fact, it seems that Nokia has managed to create a real market without phone other than the fact that it was cheap, and to be honest, for most customers with a contract, there is a wide range of phones much better they can get, mostly for free. The Nokia 6151 looks like a little turkey. Just in case you do feel that the Nokia 6151 is for you, then it should be available from Q3 2006.
