Posted on January 4, 2008 in Nokia

The Nokia N90 is part of the new high-end range of Nokia handsets that combine more advanced technology that you would normally expect from a Nokia. This combination is particularly acute as a high-end 3G camera phone. The camera is a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and 20X digital zoom and a Carl Zeiss goal combined with some advanced imaging software. Nokia hope that the quality of the lens and enquiries will desirable N90 camera phone, but it is interesting to note that the N90 does not have an optical zoom unlike the Sharp 902.

Inside is a large, high-resolution 352×416 pixels active matrix color display 262000 (better than Sharp’s 240×320 pixels), and there is a large panel of 128×128 pixels on the outside as well.

Screen and the camera around twist in a variety of configurations, and photographs may be taken either to internal or external screen as a viewfinder. As one might expect the Nokia N90 also capture video clips (up to 352×288 pixels) and the camera and the screen can be contorted to make video calls.

Nokia N90 is a very large and heavy aircraft, and 173 grams 112×51x24mm, but 3G devices tend to be heavy anyway .. Despite this, the N90 is one of the largest aircraft in its class. The Nokia N90 has up to 3 hours maximum and 12 days of standby, which is fairly typical. In terms of networking, this is a 3G phone with tri-band GSM and GPRS as a backup. It supports Bluetooth connections and cable to a PC or other device, but unlike the Sharp 902 there is no infra-red. The Nokia N90 also comes with expandable memory on MMC.

Nokia N90 New

As with many recent high-end Nokias, it is a smartphone Symbian Series 60, although we suspect that most users will be primarily interested in digital photography rather than loading the new software. There is a board XHTML browser and a mail client, and the N90 allows you to see a variety of forms, including attachment Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat documents. The operating system for the big screen will help a lot to Web browsing and work with documents. As with all Nokias combined, you can synchronize with a PC via a USB cable or Bluetooth. There are a variety of multimedia software and other applications preloaded, and the N90 also supports Java so there should be a variety of games and other applications available for it.

At present, the Sharp 902 is our point of reference for this category of phone, and Nokia N90 direct competitor, almost against her. On the positive side, the N90 has better software and the aim Carl Zeiss, on the other hand the Sharp 902 is lighter and has a 2X optical zoom. The Toshiba TS 921 is a very similar too. The big advantage is that Nokia have models that Sharp and Toshiba are exclusive to Vodafone and Nokia should be more freely available.

It is a good device, and it is refreshing to see Nokia at the head of the pack in technical terms. Too much time before we had to say that the handset is good Whereas it is a Nokia. In this case, we are pleased to say that this is a good device itself.
