The original Nokia N93 is a fantastic phone with a real drawback. It’s a little brick. At 180 grams, the N93 is one of the biggest and most important in the market for phones. So, as a remedy for what Nokia have come up with the N93i that is thin and light.

But only just. The Nokia N93i weighs 163 grams and measuring 108 x 58 x 25mm (compared to the N93, which is 118 x 56 x 28mm). Nokia have also improved the display in the N93i which is now in 16 million colors and has a viewing angle wider.

There is a reason for all this, although the weight. As with its predecessor, the N93i is a feature packed digital imaging phone with a very high quality of 3.2 megapixels with 3X optical zoom, resolution video capture VGA, TV, FM radio, a large 2.4 , 240×320 pixels, media player, expandable miniSD Memory, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G as well as the support of the operating system Symbian S60. Everything else is roughly the same as the N93, so we will not dwell on it here.

Nokia say that the duration on the N93i is 1.7-3.3 hours in 3G, 3.1-3.9 hours, GSM, which is significantly less than the N93 the city lasting 5 hours. Both the N93i and N93 were similar (but not identical) batteries - the N93i comes with the 950mAh BL-5F unit, the N93 has the BP-6M 970mAh one, and Nokia are perhaps a little more cautious when it ’s is the battery life figures. Anyway, the N93i will discharge the battery fairly quickly, and if you use the WiFi and Bluetooth, you can expect even shorter battery life. But .. A larger battery would mean an increase in phone, and you can see the problem.
