Palm Centro Available Ruby and Onyx Colors

Want to be forgiven for believing that you prefer the Palm Centro seen before, because it looks almost identical to the Palm Treo 500. But despite appearances, the Centro is a very different.
The Centro de Palm will be available in Ruby and Onyx colors, and measures 4.22 x 2.11 x 0.73 inches (107 x 54 x 18.5) and a duration of 3.5 hours up to 12 days in standby mode.
Unlike the Treo 500, Palm Centro is a Palm OS 5.4.9 with a large screen 320×320 pixels square, and it is a touch screen. Weighing the same as the Treo 500, 120 grams (4.2 oz) Centro Palm also has a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD expandable memory, a media player and push e-mail support.
The bad news for all fans of Palm outside the United States is that it is a CDMA2000 / EvDO device that is not working in Europe or in most of the rest of the world.
There is no news on a non-US version, but the fact that the Palm Centro exists at all shows that Palm is still committed to PalmOS devices.
At launch, the Palm Centro will be exclusive to the US Sprint network and offer a variety of 3G services, such as video and audio downloads. Other networks in North America is likely to increase the Centro later.
