The Samsung i780 operating Microsoft Windows XP Professional Mobile 6, and this means that the SGH-i780 can work with Microsoft Office documents, surf the Web, reading a series of read multimedia files and e-mail either through standard Internet protocols or technology Microsoft DirectPush.

Samsung impressive array of combinations just to be a little wider with the SGH-i780 smartphone. This Windows Mobile 6 receives little compromise in terms of features and is likely to be one of the most attractive combination in this market segment.

Not only have the Samsung i780 data connections fast, but also as the GPS (Global Positioning System) support, a 2.6 “touch-sensitive 320×320 pixel display, a well presented BlackBerry keypad, and a style of two megapixel primary secondary VGA camera with a unit of the video call. SGH-i780 from memory is expandable using microSD cards.

It’s a neat design with touches clearly spelled out, and it is much more attractive than the horrible Samsung i600 device. This is not exactly exciting to watch, but the style is pure and sober certainly not out of place for business customers.

It is a device with 3.5G HSDPA data showing a download speed of 3.6 megabits per second, and on top of the UMTS, EDGE and GPRS, the Samsung i780 also has WiFi and Bluetooth of course.

At press time the physical size and weight of the i780 are not known, although we believe that the footprint is about 115 x 60mm and a guess that probably weighs about 120 grams. Pricing is unavailable, although we understand that the SGH-i780 will be available from January 2008.
