Samsung P200 Conventional Classic Slider Phone

Posted on January 17, 2008 in Samsung

Samsung P200Essentially, the AMU is a second generation wireless VOIP based protocol that allows users to easily switch from a standard and a call cell based WiFi. Of course, you will need a compatible WiFi hotspot which you then to configure, so some assembly will be required with the P200.

The Samsung P200 is a conventional phone looking slip on the surface, but below it, in fact, a device capable of WiFi UMA / VOIP (Unlicensed Mobile Access / Voice Over IP) telephone.

Samsung say that after the launch of the P200 in Italy, then it should be available in other European countries during the second half of 2006.

WBU is not very clever with the Samsung P200, but beyond that it is a very classic slider phone. It looks just like a lot of other Samsung sliders, and comes with a 176×220 pixel screen, 1.3 megapixel camera, an MP3 player, 80Mb of non-expandable memory and Bluetooth is a device light enough to fall 95 grams.

This is not the first UMA phone, we have seen the announcement - the Nokia 6136 is the first - but the SGH-P200 is the first on the market, launching first in Italy.
