Samsung S730i (SGH-S730i) Support for i-Mode Devices
Posted on December 21, 2007 in Samsung
The Samsung S730i is an i-mode phone that comes at a time when many carriers are outside Japan dropping support for i-mode devices. There is also a close relative called the SGH-S720i which has a display derisory 128×160 pixels and 1.2 megapixels, which is probably best avoided.

This is a slight shift of phone, coming in at 83 grams. The main features are a 2 megapixel, 176×220 pixel display, expandable memory and microSD Bluetooth stereo. The SGH-S730i supports GPRS and EDGE data only, but then I-mode works very well with data speeds slower.
Overall, the Samsung S730i looks to be a pretty decent low-cost phone mode if your mobile network continues to support these devices.
