Samsung U300 ( SGH-U300 ) Clamshell Phone Attractive Device

Posted on December 22, 2007 in Samsung

The Samsung SGH-U300 is part of the range Ultra Edition II, and it can be regarded as a thin and slightly twisted version of the Samsung D830 / Ultra Edition 9.9.

A little thinner than the D830 - the U300 is just 9.6mm thick, compared to 9.9mm, the SGH-U300 also has a digital camera 3 megapixels. However, the U300 does not seem to have expandable memory (but is built in 70MB), which puts it at a disadvantage in the old handset.

Despite the short memory, all of the features of the U300 are still fairly decent. There is a 2.2 inch 240×320 pixel main display with a smaller secondary on the outside. The U300 features a multimedia player capable of playing MP3, AAC, WMA, WMDRM, H.263 and MPEG4 clips (although the limited memory will be a factor here).

It is a tri-band GSM 800/900/1800 device with GPPS and EDGE. The SGH-U300 also supports Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connections.

If you are looking for a clamshell phone, and your primary consideration is how it is thin, the U300 is a device attractive. And in terms of aesthetics, the U300 is a very elegant and understated the handset, which should draw a few admiring glances.

However, the low height of the aircraft, a somewhat compromised its characteristics, both in terms of scalability, but also the style RAZR device that could become irritating to be used after a certain time. Samsung say that the U300 will be available from 1st quarter 2007, but no details on pricing was available at press time.
