Sony Ericsson HGE-100 is compatible with the following devices: K530i, K550i, K550im, K800i, K810i, K850i, S500i, T250i, T650i, W580i, W610i, W660i, W710i, W850i, W880i, W910i , Z530i, Z550i, Z610i, Z710i and Z750.

We are not used to cover the mobile accessories to the funcellphones but Sony Ericsson HGE-100 differs from most accessories. At first glance, the HGE-100 looks like a standard stereo headphones wired, but what distinguishes this particular device apart is that it integrates a GPS receiver.

The HGE-100 works with one of the many Sony Ericsson phones to provide a satellite navigation system (using voice or visual prompting) plus a sports tracker requires steps distance, speed and calories used. A more basic but equally useful feature is the HGE-100 media control buttons, so it can be used to control the aircraft music player.

It’s a neat all-in-one, and one of the advantages of the latter rather than wiring wireless is that it is powered by the phone itself. This means that the HGE-100 can be tucked into a pocket or bag until you need it - without having to worry about the battery. There is a standard jack connector 9mm too, which gives some flexibility with headphones.

Not all countries allow you to use a wired headset in the car (the United Kingdom in particular), but as a personal navigation device this seems hard to beat.

Because it weighs just 52 grams, HGE-100 looks like a very attractive way to have the capabilities of satellite navigation with you all the time. Of course, you must have a compatible phone and presumably some kind of application so that everything works properly.
