Sony Ericsson K770i Lightweight 3G Phone
Posted on December 19, 2007 in Sony Ericsson
The Sony Ericsson K770i is a lightweight 3G phone, coming in at 95 grams and only 14.5 mm thick. There is a 3.2 megapixel with flash and autofocus, and a 1.9 “240×320 pixel screen.
Because it is a Cyber-branded phone, the K770i comes with more than just a camera. There is a built-in “set the picture” asked to help resolve these pictures that have not quite right out properly. Over the K770i a stereo Bluetooth, FM radio, Memory Stick Micro expandable memory (256MB included in the box), a media player, an email client, web browser and RSS reader. If you are familiar with previous Cyber-branded phones, then you will know what to expect.
Sony Ericsson are citing an astonishing 10 hours talktime when used on the mobile phone, but this figure falls to 2.5 hours when used on a 3G network. Sleep mode is either a maximum of 16 days, which is impressive.
Seems to be a good phone, but outside of slightly particular 1970’s style brown color there is very little that makes the K770i out of the range of increasingly congested phones Sony Ericsson. There is a lot. Really great Cyber Walkman phones and the Sony Ericsson range and are in danger of stretching the brand too far. Yes, with a 3.2 megapixel autofocus and flash is quite good, but the K810i and K850i are much better imaging and phones are much more worthy of the Cyber image.
However, the K770i is unlikely to disappoint, with its compact and unfussy good looks. Just not expenct people to go wow… when they see the K770i is far too understated to be a head turner. Sony Ericsson say that the K770i will be available in some markets starting in the fall.
