The Z710i is available in two color combinations, “Twighlight Black” and “Metallic Sand.” We prefer the look of the latter, although these two devices look very intelligent.

A glance at the data sheet shows that basically the Z710i is a W710i with several features deleted - for example, the Z710i has a single 64MB memory card bundled (compared to 512 MB), it lacks the Walkman player and fitness applications, and it comes in a more conventional housing (although it does still have external media controls). The color orange on the external display Walkman version has been replaced by a beautiful blue panel looking 128×128 pixels.

Sony Ericsson intend to sell the Z710i in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, there will be a Z710c version available for mainland China.

Sometimes, however, less is more. And the Z710i is much more practical and sober that the phone companies “Walkman” version, and it offers 10-hour period yet, a mail client, management tools personal information, a Web browser and news reader RSS. He has yet to receive a media player and an FM radio, and of course you can always buy more memory if you want. And as it is a quad-band phone, you can use it almost anywhere in the world.

Of course, not all companies want the digital camera, and we feel that if Nokia was to make a device of this kind, even though they make me a smartphone Symbian. However, the Sony Ericsson Z710i seems to be a good overall package that will appeal to business and personal users.

A close relative of the W710i, Sony Ericsson Z710i is a quad-band GSM with GPRS and EDGE, a 2 megapixel camera, 176×220 pixel screen, Bluetooth and expandable memory.
